Pico Flights
Pico Balloons are the latest in Amateur Radio High Altitude Ballooning. Typically flying far lower than a typical latex weather balloon, these balloons are designed to ascend to a "float" altitude and holding for indefinate periods of times, sometimes hundreds of days on end.
The flight payloads are usually solar-powered, capable of operating continuously when the sunlight is available. The typical Pico payload weighs in at less than 20 grams (well under an ounce.)
